Technical Equipment
As a newly founded Chair of Casting Technology, we make use of casting technology equipment on the one hand and current equipment and systems for material characterization on the other.
Furthermore, we use powerful hardware for computer-aided methods and also make use of the high-performance computing capacities of our university.
Currently, we operate a program-controlled vacuum/pressure casting machine including the necessary peripherals for our research and teaching activities. The casting process carried out here has a very similar operating principle compared to the investment casting process.
Furthermore, we are setting up another casting cell in the area of permanent forming processes.
Since the chair is under build-up, the equipment is still being continuously expanded.
